What Is a Mini Session?


A mini session is a short and sweet version of a full photo session — perfect for busy families who still want beautiful, updated photos without committing to a full session.


Typically lasting around 15–20 minutes, mini sessions are held on specific dates and locations that I carefully choose to give you the best lighting and backdrop possible. Because the setup and schedule are planned in advance, you simply show up, have fun, and let me handle the rest!


Mini sessions are great for:

  • Seasonal portraits (like fall, Christmas, or spring blooms)

  • Milestones or birthdays

When and Where Are the minis?


This year’s Fall Mini Sessions will be held at Live Oak Park on the evenings of November 25th, and 26th, from 4:00PM to 5:30PM — and there are only 7 spots available each day!


Live Oak Park is one of my favorite local spots, with wide open fields, big shady trees, and the most beautiful soft morning light — perfect for that warm, golden glow in your photos.

Each mini session is quick, easy, and fun — the perfect way to capture fresh, updated photos of your family without the time commitment of a full session.

What Should We Wear?


Don’t stress — your fall mini session is meant to be fun, not fussy! The goal is to look coordinated without being too “matchy.”


Here are a few simple tips to help you plan your outfits:

🍂 Stick to Fall Tones: Think warm neutrals, earthy greens, rust, mustard, cream, and denim. These colors look beautiful against the golden tones of Live Oak Park.

🧶 Add Texture: Layers, knits, scarves, and boots photograph beautifully and add cozy depth to your photos.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Coordinate, Don’t Match: Choose 2–3 main colors and mix them throughout your family’s outfits instead of everyone wearing the same thing.

✨ Keep It Comfortable: You’ll be moving, snuggling, and playing — make sure everyone feels good in what they’re wearing!
